EMTAS EAL - SEND

09/06/2015

The process of identifying potential SEND for a child who has English as an additional language (EAL), whether they are newly arrived or born here, can be complex.  There is no single SEN assessment that takes into account all factors (linguistic and cultural) that will provide a definitive answer.  The EMTAS EAL advisory team have developed a Warwickshire EAL-SEND Pathway and it is recommended that this pathway be followed in order that timely, appropriate and holistic approaches to SEND identification can be considered.

Simply fill out the EAL SEND Referral Form and send it to emtasadmin@warwickshire.gov.uk
