Employee Self Service Release

We are delighted to release Employee Self Service to our school’s customers.  In our earlier newsletter we highlighted this enhancement in Your HR and the benefits of schools opting for ESS.   

ESS brings these benefits to your employees.  They can; 

  • Access Your HR at any time to view and download their payslips and P60s. 
  • View backdated copies of their payslips (to when Your HR went live).
  • Set up e-Form preferences to have their payslip emailed to them each month. 
  • View their personal and basic employment details. 
  • Update their bank details.   

Action Required by Schools

If you would like to go live with ESS for employees in your school, please complete the following actions:

  • Download and save the spreadsheet we have uploaded to WES (in the same place as your payroll reports). 
  • Double check the existing email addresses for your employees (please note a talktalk or aol email address cannot be accepted). 
  • Update the spreadsheet with any missing ones or corrections.
  • Email weshrandpayroll@warwickshire.gov.uk by 17th January 2020 to confirm you wish to go live with ESS and attach the completed spreadsheet.   

Action by WES Payroll Services 

Please note:

  • By completing and submitting the spreadsheet you are agreeing that the email address provided is the email your employee will be using to sign up to IdP.
  • Backdated copies of payslips will only be available from ESS so in the future, if employees request copy payslips, they will be advised that they need to register for ESS. 
  • If employees use a work email address to register with IdP, if they want their payslips emailed to a personal one, they can use ESS to set these preferences.
