ROLE OF THE RESPONSIBLE PERSON
In order to help the effective management of asbestos, legionella and fire, Warwickshire County Council has policies and procedures in place, defining roles and responsibilities, both corporately and locally.
The Property Risk Team recognises the need to ensure that all of those individuals who are classed as ‘Site Responsible Persons’ as defined within WCC policy and procedure documents have the necessary knowledge and skills to understand their responsibilities and duties and make the right decisions when it comes to the management of asbestos, legionella and fire at their sites.
These modules are presented by industry experts, with many years of experience of managing risk in their respective fields.
For non-WCC staff, these sessions are a useful way of gaining and understanding of good practice and the procedures and methodologies can be applied to their own organisation.
