Course description
Forum for school technicians to come together and discuss relevant topics and issues. Agenda to be distributed each term.
Secondary Technical Forum is at The Pound Lane Learning Centre, 11th October 9:30am - 12 noon.
As we discussed at the last meeting the main focus will be on the broadband service and associated safeguarding services. The process for renewing the broadband offering starts this term.
Claire and Agi will also join us from the network team to discuss any particular questions.
The proposed agenda is
- Details of the broadband offering
- The benefits from being on PSN - including some of the less obvious ones
- Safeguarding - how the combined offering supports schools and academies to meet the new statutory requirements in place from September
- A run through of the new features from Smoothwall and PCE - the benefits of the combined offering
- Where are we all with Windows 10? Discussion
As always we'll provide plenty of space to network and catch up as well. If you have anything else that you'd like to cover please let me know and we'll look to fit it in!
