The Catering and School Meals Service is now delivered through Warwickshire County Council's wholly owned company - Educaterers.

Our passion for excellence in food and customer service is matched by an open, transparent and ethical approach to business. Because we only service schools and colleges, our 700-plus trained and motivated colleagues focus exclusively on creating fresh, healthy food for children and young people. 

Benefits

• Our exceptional services flex to meet each school’s specific requirements, offering numerous menu combinations and options. But quality is always on the menu: including organic meat, free-range eggs, locally-sourced fruit and vegetables and homemade baked treats - your pupils will have healthy, wholesome and enjoyable foods.
• We’ve developed an innovative range of service methods including our popular ‘wristband’ pre ordering system in primary schools, which guarantees every child gets their choice of main meal for lunch every day and is proven to increase meal uptake. 
• We offer a Silver Food for Life Catering Mark menu as standard and will support individual schools to achieve the gold standard by serving a gold menu upon request. 
• School can pick and choose from a range of menu types which include lunch bars, salad bars, pasta menus, filled jacket potatoes, cold options; including our popular, innovative deli bag, a fun healthy alternative to a packed lunch brought in from home.
• Educaterers have invested substantially in the marketing of our service to benefit our clients and support in increasing meal uptake. This includes; the Nutrigang, a cast of colourful characters who together promote; healthy eating, the science behind food, sustainability and provenance, and a colourful photo menu for use in primary schools where pupils can see exactly what their meal will look like before they make their choice each day. 
• An exciting new website, www.educaterers.co.uk, providing more detailed information about our service and, new for 2018/19, Educaterers' recipe book, a fun way to support schools to encourage healthy eating alongside a lifelong appetite for cooking and nutrition. The recipe booklet is available to download from our website.
• Expertise, quality, flexibility and passion are the key ingredients behind our success. It means that pupils can enjoy the safe, caring and delicious food experience they deserve.

The Effectiveness of Our Service

• Serving over 125,000 nutritious tasty meals served with a smile to happy children each week.
• 100% of our menus in the Nursery and Primary School sectors have been awarded the Soil Associations’ Food for Life Silver Catering Mark.
• We work in partnership with NHS dieticians across Warwickshire to support customers with special dietary requirements.
• Themed menus create a fun dining experience and promote meal up take. During 2018/19 our themed menus include; popular favourites for Census Days, Food for Life Roast Dinner Day, Chinese New Year, World Book Day, Mother’s Day and St. George’s Day/Shakespeare’s Birthday.
