Reading for Pleasure Subscriptions

For Primary Schools, the subscription comprises an annual loan of 100 fiction books to support wider reading within your school, a participation in the Year 4 Reading Celebration in the spring term. It also includes participation in the Warwickshire Junior Book Award for Y5/6 including a set of shortlisted books and a 40 minute book talk

For Secondary Schools, the subscription includes participation in the Warwickshire Secondary Book award and the Warwickshire Teen Book Award plus one set of jacketed shortlisted titles , alongside one set of Yoto Carnegie shortlisted titles. Also included are two 40-minute book talks in school facilitated by SLS staff 

The following Subscriptions offer termly learning resource boxes and annual loans of books to support Reading for Pleasure in your school. Relevant artefacts are added free of charge where possible. Delivery to and collection from your school is included and all subscribers benefit from a one hour advisory visit and discounts on book awards and book purchases.

This subscription offered to primary schools provides you with 7 learning resource boxes and 150 reading for pleasure books per year.

This subscription for nursery, primary and special schools provides you with:

• 9 learning resource boxes per year
• 150 reading for pleasure books per year
• A one hour advisory visit
• Telephone advice and assistance
• Discounts on book awards and book purchases.  

We also run a series of training courses provided at a discount to subscribers for library practitioners and termly network meetings for secondary school librarians.

This subscription for nursery, primary and special schools provides you with:

• 350 reading for pleasure books per year
• A one hour advisory visit
• Telephone advice and assistance
