Employee Absence Direct Update

Employee Absence Direct is a new system which reduces the time taken to report and manage sickness absence as well as simplifying insurance claims. 

If your school uses SIMS and subscribes to support from the MIDAS Team, we can enable SIMS integration with the new HR Employee Absence Direct (EAD) System.  This means that staff absence data can be recorded once in SIMS and automatically extracted to populate the new EAD system; NO MORE e-Forms and duplicate data entry!

The data will be extracted from your SIMS database using the same system that is currently in place to extract data for email account provisioning.  The staff absence data will then be shared with the Employee Absence Direct system.  

As long as your staff records are kept up to date and absences are regularly recorded, there will be minimal manual intervention required by schools.

Other benefits include;

• access to the EAD system only required for WES insurance claims and unpaid leave
• automated weekly email summarising absences including half and nil pay pay alerts
• automatic notification of data validation errors 
• absence reports available (note:  these will not replace your SIMS absence reports as EAD is used for transferring your SIMS data to EAD only and is not used to store your absences indefinately).
