First Language Assessments include:

• Parental meeting to collect background information and manage expectations

• Observation of the child in the mainstream classroom

• Individual language assessment

• A comprehensive written report including recommendations

• An individual language plan outlining suggested targets, strategies and recommended resources

(In the languages represented within the EMTAS EAL team)
