Target Audience:

WCC Schools are advised to contact WES Health and Safety on weshealthandsafety@warwickshire.gov.uk prior to booking onto this course. 

The training is essential for Site Responsible Person (Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, School Business Manager, Site Manager/Caretaker) for all staff for undertaking risk assessments on site. 

In addition, staff who attended the training over 3 years ago who should attend again to refresh knowledge.

Course Content:

There is a requirement in all schools to ensure that there are competent staff to complete, maintain and review risk assessments for significant hazards on site. 

Aims and Objectives:

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Understand the risk assessment process
• Identify, understand and evaluate the hazards that present a significant risk found in the workplace
• Understand and use a sensible & proportionate risk management / assessment approach
• Meet their statutory requirements.
