Specialist Teaching Service can:
- Support you to deliver effective provision in line with the SEND Provision Matrix
- Build SEND provision capacity in the school
- Offer Strategic SENCo support to help with auditing needs and provision
- Keep you up to date with changes in national policies and legislation
- Support you to update your SEND Information Report for your website
- Prepare a pre-Ofsted health check
- Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans
- Support with the Early Help process
- Attend pupil review meetings and Early Help FSM
- Assess and screen pupils
- Advise on appropriate SEMH, Cognition and Learning and Communication and Interaction strategies to use with specific individuals or groups of pupils
- Support quality first teaching
- Deliver evidence based interventions
- Support with the implementation of programmes for individual pupils
- Train your Teaching Assistants to run groups
- Monitor and provide general care, safety and welfare for pupils
- Advise on specialist resources and the management of the learning environment
- Advise on and assist with the writing of appropriate supportive documents, e.g. personalised learning plans, pastoral support programmes and risk assessments and the Early Help Single Assessment
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Work with small groups of pupils
