- Distinguising between monitoring and evaluation;

- Exploring in detail a number of key sources of evidence, including: 

✔ Headteacher reports and other professional advice; 

✔ Governors’ first-hand experience of the school; 

✔ Performance data; 

✔ Views of parents, pupils and staff.
