Course description

Aims to develop a deeper understanding of migration issues, the terminologies used and the rights and entitlements for those seeking sanctuary.  Covers strategies to develop a whole school approach with a focus on admissions & induction arrangements that ensure a sustained welcome. Explores adaptations in pastoral care and nurturing environments that help the child develop a sense of belonging, feel safe, valued and secure, ready for learning.
