This session aims to familiarise teaching assistants (TAs) with some of the challenges that learners using EAL might face when learning English and learning through English at the same time. It explores what makes English difficult to understand and to think of ways in learners who use EAL can be supported by introducing practical, easy to use strategies to develop the language skills they need to fully access the curriculum
