Education Casework Officers can undertake a diverse range of attendance related interventions in your school including:

• Casework interventions include identifying strategies to improve attendance, identifying appropriate support, multi-agency working, home visits, target setting to provide an escalation process with additional challenge for absence when appropriate;
• Coordinating pre-legal meetings and target setting in accordance with the Warwickshire Non-School Attendance and Penalty Notices Code of Conduct;
• Attendance at meetings including Early Help and Child Protection meetings where appropriate;
• Strategic support for improving whole-school attendance including reviewing processes and procedures along with attendance data analysis to understand where to focus resource; and
• Targeted Punctuality Strategies to prove a holistic approach to lateness.

Helpline Plus offers small academies an excellent opportunity to receive support on attendance and provides access to telephone and email advice on all attendance matters.  This is combined with up to 3 home visits to provide an assessment of the problem and provide an action plan of intervention.
