Course description

Autism with Demand Avoidance: a full day training session with a Primary school focus, designed for practitioners supporting a student who has a diagnosis of Autism with Demand Avoidant features/PDA.

This training session may also benefit non-school based professionals who would like to gain a better understanding of the strategies that are effective for young people with this diagnosis.  

Please note you will need to have already attended AET Tier 1 training before attending this full day.

Training Content:

Delegates will gain an understanding of: 

· Autism with Demand Avoidance

· The impact of Demand Avoidance in the Primary school context

· Strategies and interventions appropriate for the management of   

   children who have this diagnosis
