The HR Advice Direct Subscription provides proactive, targeted support and advice to help you with excellent people management. As well as full access to the WES website and the Customer Services Team, you will have unlimited telephone access to specialist HR Advisers who are solution focused and can provide support on a range of topics.
The subscription will include up to 2 hours of WES legal advice meaning we can provide timely, risk assessed advice to achieve the best outcome for you. If you purchase the Payroll Service, we will also monitor your sickness absence data on a monthly basis and proactively contact you to provide advice on dealing with sickness levels.
Types of advice provided by HR Advisers include:
- Performance management;
- Grievance;
- Discipline;
- Staffing reductions;
- Pay and grading;
- Sickness absence;
- Interpretation of terms and conditions of employment and
- Having difficult conversations.
You can enhance this subscription by purchasing face to face support on a buy as you need basis.
The Bespoke HR Package offers you a fully tailored HR solution. The details of this package would be agreed directly with each academy but could include:
- Face to face support
- Grading
- Attendance at governor meetings
- Support with school policy development and workforce planning
- Fully managed recruitment campaigns
- Increased inclusive support from the WES Legal Service for HR related matters.

This service provides payroll processing of gross to net pay, ensuring your staff are paid accurately and at the required time each month.
All third-party payments are managed and paid on your behalf and all statutory returns are made accurately and on time.
The service is delivered through Payroll Direct (WPD) that provides you with full self-service through an online system where you can access your HR data locally making submission of changes even quicker and easier and providing one time entry for updates and changes.
If you sign up to this service, we will produce contracts of employment for your new starters and for new jobs throughout the year. You will be charged £4 per contract produced.
