Course overview
By the time children start school, 73% use a tablet, laptop or computer device, 29% own their own device and by the age of 4yrs they are considered to be self sufficient on at least one of these devices. (Ofcom 2016)
Warwickshire ICTDS have worked with teachers and other professionals in education from EYFS to devise a series of activities to help with the Online Safety conversation. These activities have been mapped to the early learning goals, the UKCIS Education for a Connected World Framework and will help children as they get more exposure online at school and at home. These activities will easily fit in with activities you already carry out, being a substitute rather than an extra activity to fit in.
The training includes an OSBOX containing all of the resources required, teacher guidance, support leaflets for parents and some advice for staff is the outcome of this collaboration.
Delegates have an exciting session carrying out a selection of the activities, discussing alternative approaches to delivery and considering how it all fits into the activities you already carry out. You will receive a box prior to the training. It will not have been opened for at least a week.
