Course overview:
Spend a morning building a fantastic robotic buggy to take back into school and use with your class!
Produced by Makeblock, the mBot has been designed for education to offer a range of features from basic remote control through to coding using a Scratch-based ‘blocky’ app. It is simple to build and incorporates an ultrasonic sensor and line following module allowing it to be used and programmed to interact with its environment. The mBot also has a number of free apps that allow you not only to program it but also to teach and learn with it in different scenarios.
During the morning, we will support you through building you mBot and then spend time exploring how it can be used with your pupils to develop their understanding of coding and the computing curriculum. At the end of the course, the mBot is all yours to take back to school to try out some of the ideas covered during the course.
The cost of the mBot is included in the course fee – batteries are also included!
