Course overview:
This course is designed for KS2 and KS3 teaching staff and covers elements of design and technology, computing and maths.
You will explore the different aspects of computer aided design (CAD) through a range of engaging activities. SketchUp allows pupils to easily create, modify and share their own 2D and 3D designs. Get hands-on with a 3D printer and bring your designs to life! A great introduction to computer aided manufacture (CAM).
CAD/CAM features prominently in many schemes of work, for example ‘Switched On Computing virtual galleries’.

Understand the latest developments in 3D technology and its application in the real world
Visualise and create different objects using CAD
