Services you can purchase
We offer a range of courses for individual staff, including;
- A day and a half Initial Training for Newly Appointed Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs)
- Full day Refresher training for DSLs
- Early Help (Pathway to Change) - focussing on the ethos and process of how to complete an Early Help Pathway to Change plan.
- Prevent Training for DSLs – to assist DSLs address the practical issues surrounding the Prevent Duty
- Reflective Supervision Skills - supporting experienced DSLs to develop their skills in supervising and supporting staff in order to safeguard children effectively
- Reducing Parental Conflict– to help understand the impact of parental conflict on children.
- Understanding Today’s Children - to help understand the origins of behaviour and how it can present as well as strategies to effectively support all children
- Solihull Approach 2-day foundation course
- Restorative Practice / Meetings & Conversations Introduction - to develop skills and confidence in holding restorative family meetings/conversations
- Safer Recruitment (Employment) Training - provides information and understanding to recruit safely and comply with relevant statutory guidance
- Domestic Abuse Training - half day training - Learn more about domestic abuse and how you can support the children and families you work with who may be at risk. Informed by the new Domestic Abuse Act 2021, the training focuses on many aspects including coercive and controlling behaviour and how to support and engage with children and families.
