Course description

In response to demand we have now developed a fourth module for the ‘Taking the Chair’ programme.  This will be focused on ‘Handling Difficult Conversations and Dealing with Conflict’.

The session will enable chairs to explore circumstances when difficult situations arise that require careful handling, difficult conversations, mediation, conflict resolution or negotiation.

Delegates will look at case studies and discuss process and practice to refine their own skills and understanding of how to proceed in a range of different, challenging contexts.

This is a practical module that will provide the opportunity to consider the process of putting theory into practice and it will focus on some of the key skills in the NGA’s role description for the chair of the board.
