The session, sponsored by Oxford University Press and organised by Warwickshire County Council /SEND and Inclusion offers the opportunity to attend a half day of professional development appropriate for HT, SLT, subject leaders and inclusion leads.
Numbers will be limited (max 2 delegates per school) so please book early to book a place.
We will explore the science of resilience and the practical steps schools can take to build it in staff and children alike. We will also explore the place of resilience in the recent Ofsted framework making links to the hot topic of children’s mental health, considering what can be done in school to develop staff self-efficacy and wellbeing in challenging times.
Jean Gross has been Primary National Strategy director responsible for overcoming barriers to achievement, CEO of the charity responsible for the Every Child a Reader and Every Child Counts programmes, and most recently the government’s Communication Champion for children. She is the author of numerous best-selling books on children’s issues. She is passionate about achieving better life chances for children who don’t have much going for them in their lives and dedicates her time to trying to make a difference for these children.
