ASBESTOS AWARENESS TRAINING
Aims
Our UKATA Certified training is designed to give an individual comprehensive information on what asbestos is, how to recognise suspect asbestos materials and most importantly, how to avoid potentially deadly asbestos exposure.
The course will provide an understanding of:
What asbestos is
The health effects of asbestos exposure
Where asbestos-containing materials are found and why
Asbestos legislation, roles and responsibilities (including the Dutyholder)
How to avoid exposure to asbestos
Emergency procedures
Who's it for?
This UKATA certified Asbestos Awareness fulfils the legal requirement for those who are liable to come into contact with asbestos at work, or who supervise those who do, such as: Demolition workers, Construction workers, General maintenance staff, Electricians, Plumbers, Gas fitters, Painters and decorators, Joiners, Shop fitters, Plasterers, Roofers, Heating and ventilation engineers, Telecommunication engineers, Computer and data installers, Fire and burglar alarm installers, Architects, building surveyors and other such professionals. The Regulations’ Approved Code of Practice also recommends that a refresher should be undertaken at least once a year.
The course is also invaluable to anyone who needs an understanding of the dangers of asbestos and associated procedures to prevent exposure, including individuals who manage asbestos in buildings.
