Course overview

Under 5's are becoming increasingly more active users of technology. From a very early age, gaming consoles, mobile phones, tablets and laptop computeres are very familiar to young children, accessing the internet with ease. We need to embrace technology to support learning, whilst keeping our children safe. This course will look at online safety at a strategic level as well as giving some fun practical activities. 

Learning outcomes

• Understand the variety of advice and help teachers to implement effective practice for safeguarding around technology

• Be aware of the risks and how to reduce them

• Have practical hands on experience of fun and engaging activities for early years settings

• Understand the standard for online safety provision

• Use and be provided with a toolkit suitabe for early years setting
