Peace celebrations. Armistice
Description
Children assembled in the large room at 5 minutes to eleven. The King's message was read by the Head Teacher & a few words of explanation given. The 2 minutes silence was observed. Children's attention was called to a drawing of the 'Cenotaph' & an explanation given. They then sang Kipling's Recessional. Children afterwards listened to a few words on the 'League of Nations' & 'Law in the place of War'
