League of Honour". Meeting on 25 November at Urquhart Hall with aim of starting local branch. League had been organised for period of the war for the purpose of banding together the women and girls of the Empire with the object of "upholding the standard of women's duty and honour by prayer, purity and temperance". The least women could do for the soldiers fighting was to keep their homes together, making them brighter and more beautiful for them to return to.
