Local Chamber of Trade. Credit As Usual. A New Legal Department. Long description of Annual meeting of Local Chamber of Trade at Town Hall, Leamington. The Sixth Annual Report. Including (1) Noted that other English spas were taking advantage of the exceptional opportunity presented by the closing of Continental health resorts to increase the influx of visitors and strongly urged the Town Advertising Committee that the advantages of Royal Leamington Spa as a health resort should be vigorously advertised. Council was pleased to note that action had resulted. (2) "Christmas as Usual". Meeting questioned whether a show day in Christmas week was desired. Mayor urged "Christmas as usual" and hoped even their enemies the Germans would stop their wretched ways and think of Christmas.
