Stoneleigh village has a good record in the number of women working on the land. 5 already won the right to wear armlet (not less than 30 days) and 20 receiving the Board of Agriculture card given to those who register bearing the motto: "Every woman who helps in agriculture during the war is as truly serving her country as the man who is fighting in the trenches or on the sea"
