Description
Conservative & Unionist Women's Franchise Association annual meeting. Encouraged by opportunities now open to women disproving that a woman's place is in the home. Special reference made to women in agriculture where "By putting their energies into suitable agricultural work - milking cows and rearing calves and pigs and poultry - women could help to keep food prices down. It was an act of patriotism to help the food supply of the country."
