Cervical screening aims to pick up pre-cancerous cell changes before they have a chance to develop into a cancer.
All women between the ages of 25 and 64 are eligible for a free cervical screening test every three to five years. You will be invited to have a screening test by your GP.
Screening is for people without symptoms. If you are concerned about any symptoms, please contact your GP. Invitations for screening at appropriate times are sent automatically to eligible people registered with a GP.
