Service provides residents with the information to make informed decisions about home-to-health voluntary transport.

The number acts as an automated information line, pinpointing those who are physically able to use public transport services and those who are not able to travel independently to one of the 4 appropriate voluntary car schemes. The website displays information for all services across the county and is advertised alongside the one-stop number via posters in GP surgeries, hospital waiting rooms and family clinics.

Voluntary Car Schemes are available to people all ages, who have a need to get to a healthcare appointment and for various reasons may struggle to do so independently. This may be because people are too unwell or unable to use public transport, don’t have access to a car or don’t have family or friends available to help transport them.
This service is available to all age groups.
