Reading Well Books on Prescription Dementia is a national collection of recommended titles on dementia that people may find helpful if they or someone they know has dementia, is caring for someone with dementia or wants to find out more about the condition. The books are divided into topics; information and advice, living well with dementia, support for relatives and carers and personal stories.
All books on the list have been recommended by health professionals and tried and tested by people with dementia. Titles were selected using guidelines and quality standards for dementia care from NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) and other professional organisations.
Collections are available in all 18 council run Warwickshire Libraries for anyone to browse and borrow free of charge. GPs and health professionals can also ‘prescribe’ titles in the collection.
